Aubrie Hamrick
Aubrie Hamrick holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from the University of Denver, where she graduated with honors. Aubrie has a long musical theater background which began at age 7 playing Toto in the Wizard of Oz. She has since graced stages from Vienna, Austria to London, New York, and Denver. She developed a passion for singing at Cherry Creek High School when she sang with the Union St Jazz Choir and toured England and Wales with the Meistersingers. Aubrie loves performing and teaching many styles of music, from classical and jazz to pop and country. She teaches voice and beginning piano to students of all ages, and enjoys the process of shining a light on the innate ability we all have to become passionate about music.
Ruth Brand
Ruth Brand holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. After making the fach switch from light lyric mezzo to coloratura soprano, Ms. Brand has blossomed on the operatic stage. She sang the role of Adele in the concert opera version of Die Fledermaus to a fantastic audience reception, and appeared with great success as The Queen of the Night in the Lamont Opera Theatre’s production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute under the baton of Maestro Lawrence Golan. Most recently, Ms. Brand appeared as Norina in a shortened version of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale as a participant in the International Institute of Vocal Arts in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
No stranger to music theatre, she has sung leading roles such as The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical and as Mrs. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors. As an instructor, Ms. Brand teaches students from all backgrounds and experience levels. She focuses on the individual needs and talents of all her students, finding the best way to bring each student’s true voice out through proper technique, artistic exploration, and good old-fashioned fun!
